Jessie Fuentes, a queer Latina grassroots organizer, educator, and public policy advocate. As the Alderperson of the 26th Ward, she brings over a decade of experience in education, criminal justice reform, affordable housing, community development, and sustainability.

Ruth Cruz, an immigrant from Mexico, brings a shared experience of millions to her role as an alderwoman. In addition to her passion about education, Ruth is passionate about guiding her community, addressing needs such as affordable housing, inclusive youth programs, quality job opportunities, and mental health support.

Cardona assumed office as alderman on May 20, 2019. He is currently a member of the Latino Caucus. He was a member of the Progressive Reform Caucus during the 2019-23 term, but did not join it after the 2023 election. Cardona is affiliated with the Democratic Party.

Alderman Gilbert Villegas is in his third term as Alderman of Chicago’s 36th Ward, a community of ethnically diverse neighborhoods on Chicago’s Northwest Side. His policy priorities include a focus on economic and workforce development, with a special emphasis on expanding business and employment opportunities in public projects for minority, women, and veteran-owned businesses.

Representative Eva-Dina Delgado, in her second term in the Illinois House of Representatives, chairs the Immigration & Human Rights Committee and serves as Vice-Chair of the Public Utilities Committee. Her other committee assignments include Child Care Access & Early Childhood, Commercial & Property, Financial Institutions & Licensing, Gaming, Judiciary - Civil, and Transportation: Vehicles & Safety.

Will Guzzardi represents the 39th District in the Illinois House, serving the Logan Square, Belmont Cragin, Hermosa, Avondale, Bucktown, and Portage Park neighborhoods of Chicago. Currently in his sixth term, Guzzardi is an Assistant Majority Leader and Co-Budgeteer for the Democratic Caucus and the chair of the Economic Opportunity and Equity committee. He is also a founding co-chair of the Illinois House Progressive Caucus.

Lilian Jiménez is a native of Chicago. She is an attorney and advocate with extensive experience in government services, community organizing and policies promoting the rights of immigrants and communities of color. Lilian has dedicated her career to supporting working class families and advocating for the rights of low-wage workers, immigrants and underinvested Black and Brown communities.

Omar won the 2016 election and was appointed to the seat effective July 1, 2016. As State Senator, Omar will work hard each day to pursue policies that he knows will have a positive impact on the people of the 2nd District and the state of Illinois.

Graciela Guzmán (she/her/ella) serves as the state senator for District 20 and as an organizer for the Chicago Teachers Union. Graciela has organized policy campaigns around health care, child welfare, economic justice and immigration. As campaign director for the Healthy Illinois campaign, Graciela secured a key victory by making Illinois the first state in the nation to expand health care to low-income adults age 55 and older regardless of their immigration status.

Brandon Johnson was sworn in as the 57th Mayor of the City of Chicago on May 15, 2023.

The daughter of working-class Guatemalan immigrants, Congresswoman Delia C. Ramirez is an accomplished legislator, social service director, community leader, and coalition builder who has dedicated her life and career to advocating for working families. She proudly represents IL’s 3rd Congressional District as the first Latina elected to Congress in Illinois and the entire Midwest.
